MCI rolls into Chicago's BusCon with Pre-Owned J4500 Coach

SCHAUMBURG, IL — September 9, 2011 — For ground transportation operators needing to build a safer, more luxurious and greener fleet on a budget, Motor Coach Industries has the solution: Go pre-owned.

At Chicago's BusCon Expo 2011 at Navy Pier, MCI will display a pre-owned MCI® J4500 coach to highlight MCI's Certified and Select Plus program, the industry's leading inspection process and warranty protection for pre-owned coaches. After the show's run September 13-14, the J4500 will be delivered to Tours and Charter Salgado, a family-owned Chicago company.

MCI's BusCon Booth 417 will showcase a pre-owned 2007 MCI J4500, a 45-foot touring coach, built with a monocoque construction, MCI's patented spiral entryway, sleek exterior lines, scenery sized windows, and plush seating for 56 passengers. The coach features a Detroit Diesel DD13 12.8 Liter, 410 horsepower engine, an Allison B500 6-speed automatic transmission and a two-year limited warranty. It also features a state-of-the-art REI entertainment system with six monitors.

According to a spokesman for Tours and Charter Salgado, the pre-owned J4500 will be the fourth coach in its all-MCI fleet since the company was founded in 2006.

MCI has placed special emphasis on its pre-owned sales and service program to serve operators who want to replace or upgrade current fleet stock.
