MCI Introduces Zafety Lug Lock®

Tight makes Right

When it comes to wheel rim safety, offering a balanced load via proper number of studs and nut torquing is key.

Zafety Lug Lock® has been engineered to ensure that wheel nuts resist loosening, maintaining balanced loads and helping to prevent wheel loss. Zafety Lug Lock® offers a unique design that uses the resistance between two nuts to minimize their ability to rotate and loosen. The effectiveness of Zafety Lug Lock® depends on proper wheel rim design and operating conditions; wheel nuts can continue to loosen as a result of temperature change, wheel end vibration and rim surface condition.

  • Reduces the risk of potential wheel loss
  • Provides a clear visual check in all weather and light conditions
  • Fits easily over two adjacent nuts
  • Quick and easy to install/remove
  • Laboratory tested in severe vibration conditions

Five locks are needed per wheel for a total of 30 per coach. Zafety Lug Lock is packaged in sets of 100; enough for three coach sets. Also, stock up on tools! Buy some for your shop and make sure that you buy one tool per coach in the event that a tire needs to be changed.
